About me

I grew up in a musical family, having both my parents and older brother playing the violin. At the age of 7, I decided that not the violin, but the oboe would be my instrument. It became very fast a true passion, a way to express myself. Sometimes I even compare the oboe as having a second voice.

Before I could even hold my instrument, I was already a loyal fan of my dad who plays in a classical orchestra. I loved watching them perform. From the very first note the orchestra would play, I could see a whole, self-imagined story, like if I as watching a movie. I didn’t know where all this imagination came from , but it felt normal and I enjoyed it. It gave me inspiration to write stories and poems. But only in 2017, at the age of 21, I found the courage to make these stories and poems come alive. That’s when I created my first musictheatre, “De Creatie”. Since that experience, I knew for sure: this is what I want to do to rest of my life.

And now, at the age of 25, I am finishing my oboe master degree in the Musikhochschule of Lübeck (Prof. Diethelm Jonas), while I keep working on my own creations. Since 2020 I am a fix member of the Stegreif Orchestra, an improvisation orchestra in Berlin that is unique in every sense of the word.

I try to combine my love for classical music with my passion for creating multidisciplinary performances. If you are curious to know more about what I exactly mean by that, have a look on my other page: Musictheatre.
